We Made It!

Let me catch you up if you haven't heard the news....our little family now lives in fabulous Las Vegas!

Phillip took advantage of an opportunity to work on an engineering project in LV. Jane and I are joining him on this adventure. It is with his same employer and we plan on living here for 6 months. While living here in Vegas we thought it would be a good time to try and sell our home...so pass the word around.

We made it, we are finally here! After packing, cleaning, and moving, we are here. If there is one thing I hate in life, top of my list is moving. Right now I am staring at all the boxes I have yet to unpack...I just packed them 48 hours ago! Thanks to ALL my family and friends that helped with the move and making it easier on us.

Phillip just left for work and now my journey begins. I knew it would be a challenge not knowing a soul in Vegas, but this is good for me. I have so much on my "to do" and "want to do" list.
After I get my home situated and more comfortable, here are some things I'd like to do/learn:

I haven't scrapbooked for two years and I have all of Jane's life to catch up on, I brought my wheat grinder and all the stuff to attempt making homemade wheat bread

I packed my sewing machine so I can make a quilt or Jane some skirts

The local scrapbooking store is giving lessons on Photoshop Essentials so I can learn how to digital scrapbook, I want to try so many recipes I've had my eye on, and lastly I just want to spend time with Jane checking out this city and what is has to offer. Now that I've written these down, I feel more beholding to them. Six months is going to fly, so I better not waste a day.

Although this is experience is new and exciting, it's also scary. Luckily I have family two hours away in St. George and a ward family right here. I do miss my home. After living there for four years we pretty much had everything down to our liking and a good routine. Jane is definitely confused and more emotional than usual right now. Before she came to the apartment I made sure her room was unpacked and all set up for her to enjoy. That helped.

Well, I'm off. I have lots to do. Check back frequently for our family in Las Vegas updates.

Ok sister...Im from Vegas. Where are you living? West, East etc? Give me cross streets like Rainbow and Buffalo etc. I'll get you hooked up good. Dont be afraid. About 10% of Vegas is LDS so just let me know where you are and I'll tell you where to eat, sleep and PARTY! Totally excited for you!

OK, so guess how I found out you moved? Noel told me at the same time I was told I have a new VT partner. So it was a doulbe whammy for me. I can't imagine not doing VT without you! I haven't gone with anyone else for, like, 2 years! I'm not gonna lie, I cried! But I'm happy for you. Keep us posted!
