Car Seat Canopy

I think these are a brilliant idea! When I first saw them, a little over a year ago, I knew it was easy enough I could make one. Now there are so many tutorials on line. I read a few, then combined them to make the perfect one for me. So (Sew) easy! Yet, I have to admit that I am a complete perfectionist and wanted to do it just right the first time therefore it took me 5 hours. Next time I bet I could do it in less than 2.

For the bows I went to You Tube and watched a tutorial...believe it or not, there is a trick to the perfect bow.

I can't decide what my favorite part about the canopy is...the rick rack edge, or the gold buttons.

The fabric is by a favorite designer...Amy Butler. It is inspiring me to do the nursery in these coral and gold colors. We'll see.

Hey stranger! I am not the brightest when it comes to blogging. I just figured out how to find your blog since you have left comments on mine! Great to caught up. What a cute family, and growing to boot! I love the canopy, I have one and the flowers at the top get hit everytime I put her into the car, arrggh! Can't believe you didn't share the link, now you've put me on a quest to find the perfect bow tutorial. I just got a sewing machine for Mother's day, so your blog is inspiring me to learn how on earth to use it!
