You'll be missed 24!

I have distinct memories of Phillip and I living in our Gateway apartment, newly married, 8 years ago, getting hooked on the show "24". Phillip came home and said he read an article saying that "24 is the most unwatched, but should be watched, show on television" at the time. So we decided to give it a try. After one episode, like I said, we were hooked. For over 8 years now we have been dedicated "24" fans, and Monday uncommonly being our favorite night of the week. The only dissapoitment was in 2007 when the writers strike happened and delayed the show for a while (I think a year and a half)...but then it came back, in all it's glory with Jack Bauer never ceasing to amaze us. I also have to admit that it was getting a little predicatable, but thanks to the fast pace and so many twists, I happily kept intune. I am proud to say I have always and will always be a "24" girl. In reading about the finale, I hear there is much talk about a movie...wich is fabulous and better be true...we can't wait! Phillip and I agree we'd be there opening night, with t-shirts on. Mine saying "CTU" or "I {heart} Bauer" and Phillip's saying "Guns don't kill terrorists, Jack Bauer does". Thanks "24" for ending on a high note...the finale was wonderful. Thanks Keifer Sutherland...you play a good good guy for a change. Thanks to the writers and producers of the show...and especially for creating so many loved, and not loved, characters (and bringing back some good old actors, Sean Austin, Ricky Schroder, Freddy Prince...). Now Phillip and I need a new show to replace "24", hold on, I don't think anything can replace it. Oh well. (If you've never given it a try, come and borrow the first season from us...you'll LOVE it, and want to borrow the others.)

See you at the movies!!!

I saw the best T-shirt a few years ago that said "If they let Jack do it his way, it would be called '12'." I thought that was great! At least I have my own little Jack (Anger)Bauer here every day now that the real Jack is gone!

I loved the show from the instant it started. No show will shock me as much as when they killed Jack's wife in the first season! (Sorry if I just spoiled it for anyone else). Not to mention the whole pretty little blond terrorist in season two (or was it three). I'm glad they ended on a high note. I was going to say some more things, but I think I'll save them for my own blog.

Oh how I love Jack Bauer. I haven't watched the finale yet- Andy and I are waiting for an evening we're both home so we can watch it together- so I made my sister preview your blog to make sure there were no spoilers before I read the whole post. Can't wait for the movie- let's plan a double date the opening night :)
