Non-nesting

So I guess my way of nesting is different than others. I am doing the exact opposite than most other girls and completely contrary to what people think I would do and that is...nothing. Yep, I have done nothing, and I have no desire. This poor little girl. No exciting nursery to come home too. I was at my 37 week check up yesterday and the doctor had to remind me it's time to get out the car seat, wipe the dust off the swing, and pack my hospital bag. My only response was, oh yea, I need to do that, I guess. What is my problem? All I want to do is put my feet up these days (totally swollen btw).

Last Friday as I was doing the dishes (completely bent over with my arms resting on the front of the sink with my bum sticking out...pretty picture huh?), I looked out the window into my cute little garden and noticed a big, fat, sick looking bird sitting on the edge of our planter box. I looked really close through the window to see if it was alive and it blinked. Instinctively I knew right away what was going on. She is pregnant! I kept checking on her all day long. She was so bloated and just sat there. Every now and again her husband (or so I'd like to think) would bring her a worm to eat. So sweet. I felt a connection. I knew what she was feeling. The funny thing is that she wasn't "nesting" either. She just decided to chill too. Yeah! I'm glad I'm not alone in this non-nesting thing.

Man I sure know the feeling! I've got to get my car seat out of storage...yikes!

I've been doing the side lean at the kitchen sink! I think I may try sticking my bum out...it might actually get me closer to the sink!

Sorry that I've kept you busy doing everything BUT nesting! And I promised I would help, too! After this silly race I will have only time for you, my sweet sister. I'll dust off the swing for you!

Love it. So glad you had that close connection. :) I think it is ok to be a "Fly by the seat of your pants" kind of gal. Can't wait to see pictures of the new little one.

my sweet tiff. this made me smile. you're so cute. and so you. i love it. in the end...that stuff doesn't matter anyway (well, a car seat is good :) i can't even remember how my kids' nurseries were decorated. and it doesn't bug me. my philosophy....worry about the stuff that NEEDS worrying about. i love you girl.

Tiff I can just picture you telling this story. Girl you are too funny. I order you to go to the temple, get a pedicure and then get to work. Time is running out and you can do it!!! You are awesome and just think in a few weeks you will have a beautiful baby in your arms.

Oh, those were my thoughts exactly. It is hard work when you already have kids on the outside that need your attention. The one in utero gets kinda put on the back burner. I'm glad you are putting your feet up! You need the rest.

Haha!!! Love this! I keep wishing I would start to freakin' nest! My poor house is a disaster, if I can't pick it up with my feet it stays on the floor or gets kicked into a random pile, I have no desire to do much of anything these days, too bad I have 6 whole weeks left!

You look radiant! Oh and you gotta love summer babies! Enjoy being roasty toasty...you are SO close to meeting your new little love!!!
