On the Lighter Side...

Jane is about to turn TWO! Her Birthday is coming up this Friday, October 30. Phillip and I decided to take her to Disneyland to see the real Cinderella. It's only 4 hours from Las Vegas, so why not go to "The Happiest Place on Earth" for her Birthday.

This past weekend we went to St. George where Phillip's family lives and gave Jane a "Rella" Party. When Jane woke up from her afternoon nap she was greeted with balloons, a princess birthday badge, and a table spread decked out with everything Rella. For dinner we ate Jane's favorite meal chicken, cheese, and dip...CHICKEN nuggets in the shape of Mickey Mouse and Grandpa made 6 different DIPping sauces. Surprisingly she liked the sweet chili sauce best. Being our daughter, she has to love spicy food, because that's all we really eat. We also had homemade macaroni and CHEESE....Yummmm!
After dinner, Jane played with the balloons and popped them all. Then it was time for presents. A Bitty Baby, letter puzzle, Dora toys, Little Critter Book, and a Cinderella Barbie Doll...that she kissed. To finish the party Jane was surprised with her very own Rella cake...she couldn't resist the blue frosting and dug right in, poking it, licking it, poking it, licking it. Everyone else had strawberry cupcakes (another one of her favorites). This party was a total success and I was not to blame. My mother in law was responsible for all. I can tell she had fun with this...the first girl party. She raised 6 boys and Jane is the first granddaughter. Thank you so much for making this so special for Jane (and her parents). I'm so glad we could live close to celebrate together.
